Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by 155 runs in the second match of the 3 ODI series. On Sunday, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat at Pallekele ground. The team scored 308 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Afghanistan was all out for 155 runs in 33.5 overs. Charith Asalanka missed his century. He played an unbeaten inning of 97 runs. Apart from them, Kusal Mendis, Sadira Samarawickrama and Janith Liyanage scored half-centuries. Whereas, in bowling, Wanindu Hasaranga took 4 wickets. Sri Lanka has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. The last match of the series will be played on 14th February in Pallekele itself.
