The Indian junior team's dream of becoming Under-19 World Champion has been shattered. Australia defeated India by 79 runs in the final match of Under-19 World Cup. The Kangaroos have defeated India for the first time in the final of this tournament. Australian has won the fourth title. Earlier in 2010, the team had become champion by defeating Pakistan by 25 runs.

The Indian team, which was chasing the target of 254 runs in Benoni on Sunday, was all out for 174 runs in 43.5 overs. Opener Adarsh Singh scored the highest score of 47 runs. Raf McMillan and Mahli Beardman took 3-3 wickets for the Kangaroos.

Earlier, the Kangaroo team won the toss and elected to bat and scored 253 runs for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Harjas Singh scored the highest score of 55 runs. While captain Hugh Wiebgen was out after scoring 48 runs and Harry Dixon was out after scoring 42 runs. Raj Limbani got 3 wickets. While Naman Tiwari got 2 successes.

Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by 155 runs in the second match of the 3 ODI series. On Sunday, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat at Pallekele ground. The team scored 308 runs for 6 wickets in 50 overs. In reply, Afghanistan was all out for 155 runs in 33.5 overs. Charith Asalanka missed his century. He played an unbeaten inning of 97 runs. Apart from them, Kusal Mendis, Sadira Samarawickrama and Janith Liyanage scored half-centuries. Whereas, in bowling, Wanindu Hasaranga took 4 wickets.
