Australia won by 34 runs in the second T20: took 2-0 lead over West Indies; Maxwell's fifth century in this format

Australia defeated West Indies by 34 runs in the second match of the three-match T-20 series. With this win in Adelaide on Sunday, Australia team has gone 2-0 ahead in the series.

Batting first, Australia gave West Indies a target of 242 runs. In reply, West Indies could score only 207 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs.
Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell scored a century (120*). Apart from him, Tim David scored 31 and Mitchell Marsh scored 29 runs. Jason Holder took the maximum of two wickets for West Indies.

Maxwell equaled Rohit
In this match, Glenn Maxwell scored his 5th T20 International century. With this he equaled Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Both the players now have 5-5 centuries in their name in T-20 International. Maxwell has made the record of scoring the fastest 5 T20 International centuries. Maxwell achieved this feat in his 102nd match while Rohit has done this in 151 matches.

Maxwell scored the highest unbeaten runs of 120. At the Adelaide Oval Stadium, host Australia scored 241 runs after losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. Maxwell scored the highest unbeaten 120 runs for Australia. He hit 12 fours and 8 sixes in his innings of 55 balls. Tim David played an inning of 31 runs in 14 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. Apart from Holder, Romario Shepherd and Alzarri Joseph got one wicket each from the visiting West Indies.
Rovman Powell's Fifty
West Indies, which set out to chase the target of 242 runs, did not have a good start. Brandon King was out after scoring 5 runs. Captain Rovman Powell scored the most runs for the team. He played an innings of 63 runs on 36 balls. Apart from him, Andre Russell scored 37 runs. Marcus Stoinis took three wickets for Australia. Spencer Johnson and Josh Hazlewood got two successes each. Jason Behrendorff and Josh Hazlewood got one wicket each.
